"We were here first" (behavior guide for noobs by noob part 1)

I admit I was specifically looking for it, and I have found it. Among abuses that are not allowed in Shaiya is this:

Yes, I was looking for a rule that forbids spawn camping, you got me right. While it's very nice to have an aoe party and claim a room yours, it's not that nice to be the one who gets there second. Especially if you are on the quest after those specific monsters.

This certainly doesn't mean that we must never do aoe parties and report others, that would defy any common sense It's just so you know (especially new players) that nobody has any formal right to claim any room and it doesn't matter if they got there first.

Usually when I'm on quest and I find those monsters camped, I just kindly ask if the campers have the quest too. If not, I ask if I may have those monsters - just the ammount I need for quest anyway and then I leave. If they are questing too, I just wait till they have the amount they need. Most of the time that works, but if those other players happened to be assholes and told you to get lost because they were there first - know that they have no right whatsoever to do so. That room is as much theirs as is yours.

And on the other hand if you were there first, talk nicely to people who came there second (or eleventh, doesn't matter). If they are questing, ask them to wait for five minutes till you finish or vice versa, wait till they finish. If some guy tries to solo monsters one at the time, let him do it. If he's just a ranger and you are part of mage-priest-defender group, it doesn't give you the right to claim every single monster just because you can handle them.

I wrote this because I myself had many issues regarding this matter already. I believe others had too. I've seen just too many conflicts over this and I'm playing only for two weeks.

This happens a lot in Pharos involving the Golden Powder that the Spiders drop. Unfortunately not everyone has teh forethought to ask politely if they can get what they need and just barge in. I'm with you fully that there should be an understanding between players. As I said yesterday about the prices in Apu, it only takes one person to start a revolution.
